Mrs Mouse
By Phyllis Beebe
Mrs A Nonny Mouse
Would
rather not be know
Moving through the
house
On business of her own.
She wants no
recognition
No notice of her chores,
As she
flits around the kitchen
Tidying the
floors.
She collects her
children's dinner
From tidbits others
spill
Without the slightest glimmer
Of her
presence, good or ill.
She intends to do
no harm
To the humans in her
house
Thought they fail to see the charm
Of
Mrs A Nonny Mouse.
