Chippy
Bold as brass, in
striped coat
he bolts across the grass
To
cram his cheeks with birdfood
and dart away as
fast.
Blue Jay
"A bath, a
bath, hoorah, hooray!"
he cries with raucous
voice.
No "dirty bird", the brilliant
Jay
Well groomed he is by choice.
Rocky Coon
Paw prints on the white
birdbath!
Masked visitor's concealed
By
dark of night have come to drink
As morning
light revealed.
Roscoe Rabbit
Unseen, he
thinks, and silently
He lopes across the
lawn,
Nibbles a mouthful of the corn,
And
suddenly is gone.
